Today’s food for thought
"when courage walks in, fear walks out
when knowledge walks in , ignorance walks out
when truth walks in, deceit walks out
but when divinity walks in ,
life transforms,transcends and gets transfixed
Never to be the same"
Today’s food for thought is both straightforward and also filled with an in depth understanding of life.
We often hear these words and take it at face value but we never wonder why it has so much power in it, what makes it so very appealing. So today let us analyse them a little more and weed out the ignorance around it.
1. When courage walks in fear walks out
In other words we say morale, when we are inspired to do something, we act and get it done.
The clear open example is in the army, when the platoon is out fighting the enemy and when they are being cornered and cut off from their base, the captain gives them the talk to boost their morale, after which the platoon gains new energy to fight the enemy.
What has happened here, what did the captain do? He gave them the energy to discover the courage and helped it take control of the self, and remove the self from the grips of fear, so finding no place for it, fear walks out.how do you know fear walked out?
Cold hands become warm, shaky legs become steady, r swirling mind settles down to think and last of all, heart beat normalises.
All of you at some point in your life would have experienced fear, with Ambal as a captain, you would have received the talk to gather courage and fight like a warrior,a true real soldier.
2. When knowledge walks in ; ignorance walks out
Knowledge is knowing things. knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association knowledge is just not reading and writing, it is also experiencing. It is like getting common flu, when you get flu, the body experiences the action of the flu and the body is never the same, once attacked the body remembers that experience and it strikes when the flu virus attacks it, likewise when we get an experience the body remembers it forever, it will never forget, that is why I said , ignorance regarding that particular aspect walks out. Many of you must be wondering why I used the word flu virus, that is because you may become knowledgeable about that virus,it is not necessary you should become knowledgeable about all diseases isn’t it? Likewise you may become knowledgeable in one aspect that does not mean you will become knowledgeable in others, this acceptance is humility, when this gets into you, you will understand that knowledge is a process not a commodity which is bought once and for all.so we have to keep filling ourselves with knowledge so that ignorance in every aspect is lost.
3. when truth walks in, deceit walks out
Truth is something which is like a honey in a flower, only those who seek it, will find it and can taste it. Until the bees arrived in search of honey, man did not know that honey is there inside the flower, bees sought out for it, so they found it; likewise truth is always hidden,unless we go in search of it, it can never be seen, nature is always clouded with deceit, what appears to be the truth is not the truth ; what appears to be real is not real, what appears to be beautiful is not beauty at all;
why this deceit?
Nature is designed for the seekers not for settlers. The more you seek the more you will find the layers of deceit, which helps you to see the absolute truth the para Brahmam more clearly.
“Nature is the school which teaches you to seek,
Life is the college which graduates you, prepares you to seek the truth;
Mukthi is the journey to reach the parabrahman.
Hence I stated truth walks in deceit walks out. Truth is the light and deceit the darkness which glides out.
4. but when divinity walks in,
life transforms,transcends and gets transfixed
Never to be the same.
When your life finds the courage,gets equipped with real understanding of Ambal the divine, ready to face the truth, dropping the cloak of deceit, divine Ambal walks in showing herself, revealing herself spreading light, the atma in you transforms- changes gets lightened up; transcends- moves from being limited in the body to the state of limitless space, the body is no more a cage, the relationships around it is no more a shackle or a chain, it breaks itself free. Last but not the least it gets transfixed - it stands motionless in wonderment of Ambal’s roopam, all the delusions and imagination of ambal melts away seeing her virat darshan which is incomparable to anything on this planet. The wonder struck atma melts like an ice cream in the mouth of a child, feeling the joy, softness,calmness which it always wanted.
